The current Lynton Cinema opened in 2001. It seats only 68 persons and has comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. Lynton Cinema has Dolby SR sound, full air conditioning in the summer months and full central heating in the winter, running as near release films as possible and special presentations throughout the year. Full disabled access and toilet is provided.

Lynton with its population of 2,000 people is as far as we know, the smallest town in the country to have a full time cinema.

Performance details

In the summer months, there are generally two performances daily, one for the family and the other for general audiences.

In the winter, one performance nightly at 8.00pm plus a matinee on a Monday afternoon at 2.30pm

Our sound system is now full Dolby Digital.

Seat prices £4.50 for adults, £4.00 for senior citizens (65 and over), £3.00 for children (up to and including 14 years).

The cinema is situated in the centre of Lynton, next to the Town Hall. Parking is either road side or in the nearby Cross Street car park.
