Olympic Torch Relay

Monday, 21 May 2012

The Olympic torch will travel through Lynton & Lynmouth as part of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Route on 21st May.

Games organisers have confirmed that the torch would travel through Lynton and Lynmouth en route from Barnstaple to Minehead as part of the southwest leg of the torch relay to London via an 8,000 miles route around the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to see the famous Olympic flame as it passes through our town and we look forward to people celebrating this event with friends and family as our communities and the town's visitors get together to cheer on the torchbearers, witness the famous flame and make the most of this great day for Lynton & Lynmouth.

The torch is due to arrive in Lynton via Station Hill at 3pm, passing through Lee Road, Castle Hill and then down to Lynmouth.
